UPS taking steps to avoid the pitfalls of last holiday season.
FOX News Radio’s Lilian Woo reports:
There were thousands of disappointed UPS customers last year who didn’t get packages on time during holiday season and this year the Atlanta company taking steps to deal with an anticipated ramp up in deliveries planning on hiring up to 95,000 seasonal workers which would include package sorters, loaders, delivery helpers and drivers. The company’s already put measures in place to prep for an increased workload. Last year’s last minute surge in business drove up the company’s costs and hurt profits, with problems forcing the shipper to apologize and give refunds.
