Home Depot Confirms Data Breach

    Home Depot Data Breach

Another big retailer says customer information could be at risk.

FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers has more:

Home Depot says, yes, its payment systems were hacked in a data breach and their investigation into it goes back as far as April. It could affect millions of customers who used credit and debit cards at its stores in the U.S. and Canada.

The company joins the list of retailers with a data breach, including Target, Neiman Marcus and PF Chang’s. Target’s breach last December resulted in the theft of 40 million debit and credit card numbers.

Home Depot, which has more than 2,000 stores, says Malware was used in the attack, and some say it could be the biggest breach yet.
