The dream of winning the World Cup is still alive for U.S. soccer fans.

FOX News Radio’s Jennifer Keiper caught up with some in Chicago’s Grant Park, which hosted a huge viewing party Thursday:

The hangers-on, you know– many of the folks completely covered in face paint and flags who are among the last to leave after a sports event.

We ran into some–

Soccer fans: “Even when we lose, we still win.” (chanting)

They were content with Germany’s 1-nothing win over the U.S. Thursday. We caught up with fan, Bobby Potratz as he was leaving the Grant Park viewing party–

Potratz: “I, I wanted to win. You know, anything can happen when 11 players play together but, you know, we advanced and that’s what’s important.

At least 18.000 fans showed up for the viewing party here in Chicago.
