Just in time for summer travel -- some talk about safety after a high profile crash and a new public service announcement.
FOX News Radio's Jennifer Keiper with our weekly look at things with wheels in "FOX Wheels":
It's FOX Wheels.
The semi that slammed into Tracy Morgan's bus -- killing one person and seriously injuring the comedian in New Jersey has truck safety in the spotlight.
You may wonder -- has that driver next to you gotten enough sleep and is the truck up to code?
Here in Illinois, troopers had been doing truck checks just days before Morgan's crash...
(Meeder) "Thousands of trucks were inspected and hundreds of vehicles were put out of service."
Illinois trooper Robert Meeder says anyone can be involved in a truck crash.
Since 2012, two Illinois troopers and a tollway worker have been killed.
Volkswagen teamed up with a Hong Kong movie theater to discourage distracted driving.
Moviegoers watch a car driving along a road, and then all at once, someone hiding in the theater uses a system to make audience cell phones start ringing...
As they pull them out of their pockets, on screen... A car into a tree and a lot of speechless movie-goers.
The message: "Keep your eyes on the road".
