The VA chief facing difficult questions from a Senate Committee on Capitol Hill Thursday regarding allegations that have surfaced of Veterans dying, while waiting for medical care.

FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern reports on his testimony from Captiol Hill:

Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki promises to hold anyone responsible of wrongdoing accountable.

Shinseki: “If any allegations are true, they’re completely unacceptable.”

Those allegations are– Veterans Affairs clinics keeping patients waiting for months and in some cases, cooking the books to conceal treatment delays.

Shinseki, a retired four-star Army General, deferred many of those questions from the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee to an on-going investigation. Some veterans groups have called for his resignation.

Editor’s Note: Shinseki is still refusing calls for him to resign.
