FOX News Radio’s Jessica Golloher has details from Donetsk, Ukraine:

Residents here in Donetsk and next door in the Luhansk region have voted in favor of independence. An election official in the rebel-stronghold of Donestk saying 89% of locals voted in favor of the controversial referendum and 96% voted for it in Luhansk. The Kremlin says the vote should be implemented in a civilized manner and without violence. It’s unclear whether self-rule means independence or joining Russia. Moscow denies it will annex the regions.
