FOX Country: Miranda Lambert Racks Up CMT Award Nominations

Miranda Lambert picks up a bunch of CMT Award Nominations, Hunter Hayes tries to break a record and Scotty McCreery becomes a crime victim.

FOX News Radio’s Kirstin McNary has the scoop on the Country music stars making headlines this week:

Lambert: “Back before everything became automatic”… (song)

Miranda Lambert leads the Country Music Television nominations with six– two for her video “Automatic”, two for singing with Keith Urban on “We Were Us”, and two with her group Pistol Annies and husband Blake Shelton.

Repeat nominees Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan are a close second with five each. The CMT Music Awards are June 4th.

Hayes: “And right or wrong we’ll write our own storyline”… (song)

Hunter Hayes‘ new album “Storyline” is out now. Hayes hopes to break a record set two years ago by The Flaming Lips, by performing ten shows, in six states, over 24 hours. Starting in New York Friday and ending Saturday in Philly.

McCreery: “So I’m comin’ over, I hope it’s alright”… (song)

And, singer Scotty McCreery says it was “a very scary night.” The American Idol winner says he was robbed at gunpoint in his apartment near NC State in Raleigh, where he’s a student.
