Deadly Tornadoes Rip Through Central U.S. [PHOTOS/VIDEO]

At least 16 people have been killed after a string of deadly tornadoes tore through the central U.S.

FOX News Radio’s Jennifer Keiper reports:

At least 16 people are dead after tornadoes in Arkansas, Iowa and Oklahoma. A twister in the Baxter Springs, Kansas area injured just over two dozen people…

(Witness) “I felt the house shake a little bit and I heard you know, wind like you would not believe.”

Mayflower and Vilonia, Arkansas were hard-hit.

Faulkner County spokesman David Hogue thanks those who want to help but says…

(Hogue) “As long as we have power lines down, we’re asking citizen volunteers to stay where they are.”

High wind, heavy rain, hail and even tornadoes are possible for portions of Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee.
