The Country world loses a young singer, a Country legend has a health setback and a hot Country band drops some baby news.

FOX News Radio’s Sharon Katchen has the scoop on the Country music stars making headlines this week:

Sharp: “I pretend that I’m glad you went away…” (song)

Country music was truly Kevin Sharp‘s life’s work, but his life was cut short by fallout from his war against cancer. Sharp first became famous with “Nobody Knows” on his 1996 debut album. He returned to his mother’s northern California home after a 10-week hospital stay only to die the next day, he was 43.

Campbell: “I know a place between, life and death for you and me…” (song)

Seventy seven year-old Country legend Glen Campbell‘s wife says he’s still in good spirits, but his Alzheimer’s disease has worsened after three years. So, his family recently moved him to a special facility in Nashville. Kim Campbell says they see him daily.
