A deadly stabbing at a Connecticut high school this morning.
Police in Milford, Connecticut say it was some sort of fight between a male and female student that led to a stabbing of the female student in a hallway at Jonathan Law High School.
(Mello) "The student was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 7:43 this morning ."
Milford Police Chief Keith Mello.
(Mello) "The suspect is currently in police custody."
His name is not being released. The victim identified as 16-year-old Maren Sanchez. The school is now a crime scene and closed. Police are not confirming reports that the suspect had asked the victim to the prom and that she refused. Tonight's junior prom has been postponed.
