NJ School District Sued Over “Under God” In Pledge Of Allegiance
A New Jersey school district is being sued over the Pledge of Allegiance.
FOX News Radio’s Chris Foster has the story:
The anonymous plaintiffs claim the “under God” part of the Pledge of Allegiance discriminates against atheist children. They’re suing the Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District, in New Jersey state court. A school district lawyer says they’re just following state law, requiring the Pledge to be recited every day, and that individual students to not have to participate. The lawsuit, announced by the American Humanist Association, a DC-based advocacy group. There’s a similar case pending in Massachusetts.
