Monday's Boston Marathon saw an American man cross the finish line first.
FOX News Radio's Jeff Monosso reports from Boston:
The Boston Marathon has a new champion.
Marathon audio: "And his name is Meb Keflezighi, who knows a good photo opportunity when he sees it coming."
The Boston Athletic Association with that call. Keflezighi fist-pumping, feeding off the crowd as he crossed the finish line at 2 hours 8 minutes and 37 seconds-- becoming the first American man to do it since 1983.
Rita Jeptoo from Kenya crossed the finish line first in the women's elite-- becoming a back-to-back champion and setting a course record all under beautiful, sunny blue skies here and super tight security. As Boston officially puts last year's race behind it.
