NJ Atheist License Plate Lawsuit

A woman in New Jersey claims her first amendment rights were violated after she was denied a license plate proclaiming herself to be an atheist.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso has the story:
Shannon Morgan has filed a Federal lawsuit claiming the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission violated her rights when its website rejected her plate reading “8THEIST” — with an ‘8’ instead of an ‘A’ after deeming the plate offensive. Morgan claims she then requested a different plate reading ‘BAPTIST’, as a test — saying the website accepted that. New Jersey, after a brief flap with an Atheist last year approved a similar plate. No response from the Garden State. They’re closed in honor of Good Friday.
