Ferry Sinks In South Korea, Nearly 300 Still Missing [PHOTOS/VIDEO]
South Korea says nearly 300 people remain unaccounted for after a long-distance ferry sank off its southern coast.
FOX News Radio’s Alastair Wanklyn looks at the rescue operation:
Rescuers pulling survivors onto land and wrapping them in blankets, many of them children.
Some survivors say as the ship began to tilt they jumped into the freezing sea, but many others were downstairs in the cabins and entertainment area, and when the ship rolled over they may have been unable to get out.

…dozens of rescue vessels and helicopters are searching for survivors in the water, and South Korea’s Navy was sending an underwater demolition team, potentially to blast into the hull to reach those trapped inside.
