President Obama to take executive action to raise the minimum wage for some workers.
FOX News Radio's Rich Johnson reports from the White House:
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney tells me... The so-called 'Year of Action' will not be an either/or situation. The President will do both.
(Carney) "Either by issuing executive orders or by using the bully pulpit, if you will, to rally stakeholders and Americans around the country and businesses and others."
And that action starts today, with the President signing an executive order that will eventually raise the minimum wage for government contractors to $10.10 an hour.
Carney says President Obama will also call on Congress to raise the federal minimum wage for all workers.
