Six US Troops Killed in Afghanistan
Six American troops were killed in a helicopter crash Tuesday in southern Afghanistan.
FOX News Radio’s Emily Wither reports:
Their helicopter came down in southern Afghanistan — why it happened is under investigation, but we do know that there was no reported fighting or enemy activity in the area at the time of the crash.
All six soldiers killed were American, one person survived but is injured.
The Taliban has taken to Twitter claiming they shot down the helicopter — but it is common for the terrorist group to claim responsibility for incidents they weren’t actually involved in.
There are over 40,000 U.S. troops still in the country.
