Federal Judge: NSA Likely Violating The Constitution
Uncle Sam’s snooping on Americans is likely unlawful. That’s the decision of a Federal Judge.
FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern reports from Washington DC:
A powerful rebuke of the National Security Agency’s collection of phone call records– Federal Judge Richard Leon concluding the program almost certainly violates fourth amendment protections against unreasonable search and seizure. The Judge describing the program made public by leaks from former NSA Analyst Edward Snowden as an almost Orwellian technology– indiscriminate and arbitrary. The ruling would mean the NSA must stop the collection, but Judge Leon has put his own decision on hold pending a likely appeal from the Federal Government.
