Housecall for Health: Can Cameras Hurt Your Memory?
Relying on camera to capture a moment for you could actually hurt your memory, according to a new study.
FOX’s Colleen Cappon explains in this edition of “Housecall for Health”:
Researchers say if you want to improve your memory, put away your camera. A study from Fairfield University finds museum-goers are less likely to remember objects they photograph than objects they simply observe. Study authors call it the photo-taking-impairment-effect where people use cameras as a crutch: counting on technology to remember for experiences for them… like at concerts or tourist attractions.
