There’s a wave of generosity spreading across the country this holiday season. Who’s benefiting and who’s behind it?

Someone is taking secret Santa to a whole different level. An anonymous patron is leaving huge tips in restaurants and bars across the country and signing the check ‘Tips For Jesus’. Gratuities from $500 to $10,000 dollars have popped up in California, Illinois, Michigan and more. All the tabs have been covered with one American Express black card and posted on the patron’s Instagram account. The page reads: ‘Doing the Lord’s work, one tip at a time.’ There’s no sign that tips for Jesus will stop, but with all the national attention the mystery tipper’s identity may not be hidden for long.
