The biggest award of the night went to George Strait for 'Entertainer of the Year' -- which meant more to him since he's retiring from touring next year. But winning that award did give him some pause.

Strait: "I don't know, this gets me fired up again, the cowboy might be riding back in. I don't know."

Another big winner during the ABC show -- Blake Shelton who won 'Album of the Year' as well as 'Male Vocalist of the Year' for the fourth year in a row:

Shelton: "I really did not think this was going to happen this year man, but it did, so let me thank some people."

Backstage, Lambert talked about the importance of winning the award so many years in a row.

Lambert: "Reba McIntyre-- she's royalty and to have tied with her, you know we both won four times consecutively. It blows my mind."
