New York City Marathon Security
Officials running next month’s New York City Marathon are taking extra precautions since the attack at the Boston Marathon.
FOX News Radio’s Paul O’Neill reports:
Less than seven months after the attack at the Boston Marathon runners and fans who pack New York’s five boroughs next month will notice a significant increase in security. Barriers around Central Park will limit entry points where bags will be checked. Bomb-sniffing dogs will also have a prominent presence. But New York Road Runners, organizer of the New York race, decided not to ban bags from the finish area because spectators need to carry clothing and provisions for runners they plan to meet afterwards. The New York Marathon will be held November 3rd.
