Popes John Paul II, John XXIII To Be Declared Saints
Two former Popes, John Paul II and John XXIII will be declared Saints.
FOX News Radio’s Simon Owen reports:
The Pope confirming two of his predecessors will be made Saints next April. Pope John Paul II and Pope John XXIII will be canonized at an unprecedented double ceremony — which is likely to bring hundreds of thousands of pilgrims to Rome. Saint-hood normally requires the recipient to be credited with two miracles.
In the case of John Paul II, that relates to two women who were cured of serious diseases.
Pope John XXIII has only been credited with one miracle, but Pope Francis has approved his canonization regardless.
