Justice Department Suing North Carolina Over Voter ID Law
The federal government is suing North Carolina over its voter ID law.
FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports:
The Department of Justice will sue North Carolina over the state’s new rules requiring voter ID and a shorter early voting period. It’s another effort by the Obama administration to go against a recent Supreme Court ruling that struck down certain provisions of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, ending the strict federal oversight of elections in certain southern states. Five states in the south have adopted more stringent voting practices aimed at curbing elections fraud.
