No Laughing Matter
A New Jersey Judge resigns after the state’s highest court decides his other career is no laughing matter.
FOX News Radio’s Lisa Brady explains:
He was a part-time municipal judge, moonlighting as an actor and comedian.
Sicari: “And every year we have the Easter Egg hunt and this year the one kid tripped going for the egg and he started crying. I was like, you know what? I saw the egg first, too friggin’ bad.” (laughter)
Now Vince Sicari has been forced to choose. New Jersey’s Supreme Court unanimously ruling his entertainment career is ‘incompatible with the code of judicial conduct’. A state ethics board first recommended five years ago that he quit comedy, over concern about certain characters and sketches. The 44 year-old is also a lawyer and the court says it’s okay for him to keep doing that.
