‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Makes Major First Day Sales

‘Grand Theft Auto V’ generates hand-over-fist sales and a record.

(video game audio) ‘Grand Theft Auto V‘ is without a doubt the tail that wags the global entertainment dog. The latest installment in the hit video game series selling an eye-popping $800 million in worldwide retail sales on its first day of release. That easily surpasses the $500 million one-day sales record set by ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II’. ‘Call of Duty’ went on to command $1 billion in 15 days – faster than the Hollywood record-holder ‘Avatar’. ’Grand Theft Auto’ needs only 18 million games to be sold to reach the billion-dollar mark.
