Witnesses say a double-decker OC Transpo bus drove through a lowered barrier gate and into a Via Rail passenger train during the morning commute near the Fallowfield train station in Ottawa’s west end, ripping off the front portion of the bus sending the train off the tracks.

    He was on the train:

(Passenger) “People were just shocked, right, because it just happened so suddenly. Right, like I was, you know all of a sudden to be in a panic.”

We’re told no one on the train was seriously hurt. The entire area blocked off as Transportation Safety Board investigators head to the scene.
