A North Carolina man attempted to cross the Atlantic using cluster balloons.
FOX News Radio's Dave Anthony reports:
If you have seen the movie "Up":
("Up") "So long boys!"
Then you can really picture what Jonathan Trappe does. He flies in a basket lifted in the air by hundreds of helium balloons.
Cheered on by supporters as he took off in Caribou, Maine Thursday. Trappe attempted to be the first to cross the Atlantic using cluster balloons, but he didn't make it. Trappe had to ditch his flight in a remote part of Newfoundland. A man at his command center told Aero-News Network, Trappe went up and down like a yo-yo, never getting a stable altitude.
