Wrestling Reinstated For 2020 Olympics

An Olympic sport will be making a comeback.

When Olympians gather in Tokyo for the Summer games in 2020 wrestlers will be among them. The sport reinstated seven months after it was abruptly booted from the list of core sports. A move many members of the International Olympic Committee feel was a mistake.

Wrestling had been vying with squash and a combined baseball-softball bid for a single place on the program of the 2020 games and after the first round of secret balloting, it easily defeated the competition.
