Some big names in country will be announcing the CMA nominees, George Strait is honored by Billboard Magazine and Tim McGraw is going back to acting.

The Country Music Association Awards nominations will be announced on September 10th by Sheryl Crow & Florida Georgia Line.

The CMA Awards will take place in Nashville on November 6th and will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.

Underwood: “Shatter every window ’til its all blown away…” (song)

George Strait is the first country artist to be honored with The Legend of Live Award from Billboard Magazine.

Strait: “Baby fall into my kiss…” (song)

The Legend of Live Award is given to artists who have made an enduring impact on the live touring industry.

Tim McGraw

McGraw: “The highway won’t hold you tonight. The highway don’t know you’re alive…” (song)

Tim McGraw is going back to the big screen, but he’s not giving a lot of details; saying it’s not a surprising role, but it’s going to be a great film. The singer and actor says he’ll start filming in September. He’s best known for appearing in “Friday Night Lights” and “The Blind Side.”
