Are you increasing your saving for retirement? If so, you're among the few, according to a new survey.
FOX News Radio's Rich Johnson reports:
It's an exclusive number, according senior financial analyst Greg McBride at bankrate.com.
(McBride) "Only 18% of Americans are actually saving more for retirement this year than they were last year."
Compared to 17 % who saved less and 54% who kept it around the same amount. McBride says the reason is easy to see.
(McBride) "People just don't have a whole lot of extra money layin' around - whether it's to go out and spend or to shovel into their retirement accounts."
Thanks to small but steady inflation since the great recession... And wages that have been stagnant at the same time.
