Hit the pause button again, on an abortion battle in Texas. A special session protesters mobilized for is now suddenly in recess.
FOX News Radio's Jennifer Keiper reports from the Texas State Capitol:
Thousands of protesters on both sides of abortion legislation showed up here at the Texas Capitol...
But the Texas Senate met for less than an hour to start a second special session. No further action is expected on either the Senate or House floor until next week. However, committees will be in session this week.
The legislation, which was filibustered by Democratic Senator Wendy Davis last week, would make abortions illegal after 20-weeks and impose restrictions on providers.
GOP Governor Rick Perry says the bill will pass this time.
