FBI Admits Drone Use For Surveillance
An admission coming from the FBI about drone surveillance in the United States.
FOX News Radio’s Rich Johnson reports from Washington:
The question came from Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley. The answer… From FBI Director Robert Mueller.
(Grassley//Mueller) “Does the FBI own or currently use drones and if so, for what purpose?//Yes, and for surveillance.”
Testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Mueller added:
(Mueller) “Very, very minimal way – and very seldom.”
One recent example: A drone the size of a model airplane kept constant watch on the door of an underground bunker in which an Alabama man kept a boy hostage for several days. Mueller says they’re just beginning to write a policy for using drones.
