Texas Teen Fights Off Shark Attack
A 15-year-old boy survives a shark attack off the coast of Texas after fighting to free himself.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso has the story:
It’s not something folks on Surfside Beach, Texas usually worry about.
(Monnat) “I think the last time we had a shark bite was about 20 years ago.”
Suandra Monnat, the first medic on the scene Monday after a 15-year-old boy’s dip in the ocean ended with a shark bite, but not without a fight.
(Monnat) “This kid, felt the shark bite his calf and then literally grabbed the shark and tore it off of him.”
The boy who also suffered lacerations to his hands was transported via helicopter to a Houston hospital where he’s in stable condition.
