Southern Baptists Approve Resolution Opposing Gay Scout Policy
The nation’s largest Protestant group goes on the record opposing the Boy Scouts new policy on Gay Scouts.
FOX News Radio’s Lisa Brady reports:
At their annual meeting in Houston, the Southern Baptist Convention approves a resolution expressing opposition and disappointment over the Boy Scouts of America’s decision to allow Gay Scouts. The resolution also urges the Scouts to remove top officials who pushed for going further and allowing Gay Scout leaders. The resolution also expresses support for churches or families who drop the Scouts. But stops short of calling on Southern Baptists to do that; instead urging those who stay with the Scouts to work on trying to get the new policy reversed.
