Susan Rice Named National Security Adviser
A controversial figure in the Obama administration is getting a promotion. UN Ambassador Susan Rice named to lead the President’s National Security Team.
FOX News Radio’s Mike Majchrowitz reports from the White House:
President Obama was effusive in his praise for Susan Rice who is is moving from Ambassador to the United Nations to his National Security Adviser.
(President Obama) “Susan understands that there is no substitute for American leadership. She is at once passionate and pragmatic.”
But in so doing the President upset Republicans still steaming about the Benghazi, Libya talking points Rice delivered. They contend were grossly misleading. Here’s Kentucky Senator Rand Paul.
(Paul) “I can’t imagine one that we would be keeping Ambassador Rice to any key position much less promoting her to an important position.”
But the position doesn’t require Senate confirmation leaving Republicans no recourse to stop it.
