Actress Jean Stapleton Dies [VIDEO]
Jean Stapleton, the actress who brought life to one of television’s most popular characters has died.
FOX News Radio’s Ron Flatter reports:
Her character’s voice was unmistakable.
(Stapleton) “Where you were then…”
Jean Stapleton as Edith Bunker in the ’70’s on CBS’s groundbreaking “All in the Family.”
(Stapleton) “Archie, I love you, that’s why I do them things for you.”
A three-time Emmy winner, the 90-year-old Stapleton died here in New York.
She established herself on Broadway.
(Stapleton) “You’ve gotta have heart…”
In “Damn Yankees” she used what became a familiar voice.
(Stapleton) “Those were the days…”
