Seven Killed in NY Highway Crash
A freak accident on a highway in upstate New York has left seven people dead.
FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony reports from New York:
Investigators are trying to figure out how a trailer got disconnected from a big truck on a two-lane highway in upstate New York Wednesday night. That runaway trailer full of crushed cars then veered into the northbound lane and crushed a minivan going the opposite direction:
(Meeker) “There were eight people in a minivan and there is only one survivor. He is in at the University Hospital in Syracuse.”
Of the seven killed, Cortland County coroner Whitney Meeker says four were children younger than ten.
They all lived in the area and one resident in the small town of Truxton says it’s the worst thing she’s ever seen.
