Michele Bachmann

Former presidential candidate and current Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann says she'll call it quits after next year.

FOX News Radio's Rich Johnson reports from Washington:

After barely winning re-election last year, Michele Bachmann has surprised just about everybody by announcing that four terms will be enough.

(Bachmann) "My decision was not in any way influenced by any concerns about my being re-elected to Congress."

Nor, she says, the Federal Election Commission inquiry into her presidential effort. A former aide has accused her of making improper payments to the head of her Iowa campaign.

In a video posted on her web site, Bachmann vows to continue working hard in her final 18 months in office.
