FOX on Tech: Windows 8 Changes
Microsoft is planning some large scale changes for its Windows 8 operating system. But is it too little too late to curb the decline in PC sales?
FOX Business Network’s Adam Shapiro reports:
Blue may be what Microsoft needs to earn some green. The tech giant announced an upgrade for its new Windows 8 operating system; code name ‘Windows Blue’. Microsoft says it has sold 100 million windows 8 operating licenses in the last six months, and its stock is up almost 24% year to date. But critics say Windows 8 is actually hurting PC sales and slow to catch on with consumers. PC sales fell almost 14% year over year in the first quarter and analysts blame Windows 8 for part of that decline. Windows Blue will be available later this year.
