TSA Delays Allowing Knives

    Critics call it a step in the right direction. The TSA delaying a rule that was set to go into effect this week allowing small knives and other controversial items on planes.

    Now on standby… changes in the so-called prohibited items list.

    Unions representing flight attendants and pilots and members of Congress among those criticizing the new TSA policy plans to allow small pocket knives, baseball bats, ski poles, golf clubs and hockey and lacrosse sticks on airlines.

    Set to go into effect Thursday, Transportation Security Administration Chief John Pistole calls the delay temporary, and says it’s to get more input from law enforcement, the aviation community and the travelling public.
