Weiner to Run for NYC Mayor?
Former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner is eyeing up a run for the mayor’s office in New York City.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso has reaction from New York:
Anthony Weiner tells the New York Times he’s taking a serious look at running for mayor, almost two years after the Democrat told us:
(Rep. Weiner) “I’m announcing my resignation from Congress.”
…Amid a sexting scandal, and New Yorkers are reacting.
(New Yorkers) “I would be absolutely horrified if he was elected mayor.” // “It would be possible that amnesia has settled into the collective consciousness.”
But other New Yorkers argue that Anthony Weiner may have a shot.
(New Yorker) “He’s an angel of a Congressman, by their own standards. He’ll be fine out here. Good for him.”
Weiner tells the New York Times it’s now or maybe never for him, though he acknowledges if he decides to enter the mayor’s race, that he’d be an underdog.
