Study: Weak State Gun Laws… Higher Violence
A new report links high rates of gun violence with weak state gun control laws.
FOX News Radio’s Steve Knight reports:
The report from the liberal Center for American Progress finds that many states with the weakest gun laws have the worst rates of gun violence.
The New York Times reports that the study found that eight of the states with the highest levels of gun violence are among the 25 with the weakest gun laws.
The lead author of the report says the correlation suggests that weak gun laws contribute to increased gun violence.
But, an analyst from the conservative Cato Institute counters that guns are harmful in the wrong hands and protective in the right hands.
