A Kaufman County, Texas prosecutor - who carried a gun, fearing for his safety after the murder of one of his deputies - is dead, and that has extra security in place for some D.A.'s and courthouses.
FOX News Radio's Courtney Kealy reports:
County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife, Cynthia, were found shot dead in their home in Forney, about 20 miles from Dallas. Investigators are not saying whether their deaths are linked with the death of an assistant D.A. in late January.
(Rozell) "This appears that it was not a random attack. It appears to be targeted, so I don't think the Forney community at large is in danger. The best thing we can do is remain calm, remain supportive of the McLelland family."
Forney's Mayor, Darren Rozell, reassured the worried community. No arrests have been made.
