Guns in America: CO Laws Trigger Hunting Boycott

New gun control measures may wound the tourism industry in Colorado, a state where hunting is a tourist activity.

FOX News Radio’s Lisa Brady reports:

    Guns in America.

Colorado’s new ammunition limit and expanded background checks have triggered a call for a hunters’ boycott.

(Jurney) “Even though the legislation had a pretense that it would be a good thing to do, Second Amendment supporters don’t see it that way.”

Chris Jurney of the Colorado Outfitters Association also says exemptions for sportsmen may not go far enough to work.  Randy Hampton with Colorado Parks & Wildlife says the boycott is based on politics, since nothing’s preventing hunting.

(Hampton) “There’s nothing in our regulations that really needs to change in response to these laws.”

Though his agency is seeking advice on the impact from the state Attorney General’s office.
