BRIAN’S OPENING THOUGHTS
Brian thinks it is very simple—you just need to explain to the American people that Republicans don’t hate old and poor people, it is just that Medicare is underfunded! Brian’s hope is that a continuing resolution is passed to gets us through the next eight months and we find a way to lessen the sharpness of the sequester cuts on our military.
HOUR ONE
Brian played back audio from Sen. Dick Durbin on Fox News Sunday admitting that Medicare will go broke in 10-12 years to Special Report’s BRET BAIER. Bret agreed with Brian in that acknowledging the problem is the first step in actually getting deal done! Bret also reacted to Sen. Lindsey Graham’s “stunning” assertion that the Benghazi attack survivors from the State Department were afraid to come forward.
NY Post columnist MICHAEL GOODWIN discussed his latest column with Brian and said that President Obama has totally misread the Arab mindset! Goodwin wrote about Elliott Abrams and his belief that most Arab countries fear Iran more than Israel. “They know Israel has a nuclear weapon. They not worried about Israel using a nuclear weapon, they are worried about Iran getting a nuclear weapons!”
WHERE IS THE LOVE? Brian played his favorite clip of ABC’s Jonathan Karl asking Jay Carney about President Obama’s travel and golf expenses for Fox News’ Chief White House Correspondent Ed Henry. Former NYPD detective, BO DIETL joined Brian to discuss the piece in the NY Daily News which revealed new details in the Newtown shooting, specifically the 7 feet long by 4 feet wide spreadsheet Adam Lanza created with extensive research about mass murders of the past. Dietl believes parents need to use a common-sense approach when it comes to their kids and that there should be a ban on video games!
