Housecall for Health: Effect of Endorsements

A new study shows celebrity endorsements impact the eating habits of young children.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:

New research suggests the effect of celebrity endorsements on children is even more significant than previously thought.

A team at the University of Liverpool in the UK found kids eat more of a food product if they have seen it on TV or in a magazine with a celebrity.

The findings likely come as no surprise to parents, and researchers say the data highlights the need for celebrities to be responsible with food endorsements, avoiding foods high in fat and sugar.
