Budget Battle Continues
Washington’s number-crunchers get another budget to chew on today, even as the partisan battle remains in place.
FOX News Radio’s Rich Johnson reports from Washington:
When it comes to a final budget agreement, President Obama tells ABC…
(President Obama) “If we’ve controlled spending and we’ve got a smart entitlement package, then potentially what you have is balance.”
Which is what Senate Democrats say they achieve in their budget plan, to be released today. But New Hampshire Republican Kelly Ayotte says it’s tough to know if that’s true ahead of today’s Senate Budget Committee meeting.
(Sen. Ayotte) “We won’t actually get the Demorats’ budget until after we give our opening statements, which is absurd on its face.”
The President also heads to Capitol Hill again today to talk to House Republicans.
