A man is missing in Florida after his bedroom fell into a sinkhole.

FOX News Radio's Eben Brown reports from Miami:

There's no sign of 36-year-old Jeff Bush as his bedroom was sucked into the ground when a sinkhole opened up underneath the family home in Seffner, outside Tampa.

(Rogers) "They rushed in. All they could see was part of a mattress sticking out of the hole. Essentially the floor of that room had opened up. They could hear the nephew in the hole but they could not see him."

Hillsborough County Fire Chief Ron Rogers. Cameras and listening devices have not picked up any sign of life.

Florida sinkholes are caused when underground water erodes the limestone aquifer and the top soil gives way.
