Country Singer Mindy McCready Dead in Apparent Suicide
Country music singer Mindy McCready has died after a chart-topping career and turbulent personal life.

Mindy McCready was perhaps better known for her personal life than her on-stage success.

She scored a #1 hit with “Guys Do It All the Time” and had two other top 10 hits in the 90’s, but also made headlines for her drug use – appearing on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” – and for an alleged affair with baseball pitcher Roger Clemens. McCready attempted suicide twice in 2005 and again in 2008, after an ex-boyfriend was charged with attempted murder for beating and choking her.
Her latest boyfriend – and the father of her second child – committed suicide in January. Mindy McCready dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. She was 37.
