Biden on Google+: ‘Shotgun Will Keep You A Lot Safer’

The old Fireside Chats have gone high-tech with a virtual forum on gun violence led by the Vice President.

FOX News Radio’s Lisa Brady has details:

They said they’d take it to the people.

(Vice President Biden) “The single best thing we can do is have a national dialogue about this.”

Vice President Joe Biden taking the gun violence crackdown to Google+, the online questions including skeptics of a proposed assault weapons ban – one citing the falling violent crime since the old ban expired.

(Vice President Biden) “Guess what?  A shotgun will keep you a lot safer, a double-barrel shotgun, than the assault weapons in somebody’s hands who doesn’t know how to use it; even one who does know how to use it.”

Reiterating support of the Second Amendment, Biden says he’s more concerned about limiting rounds of ammo than what’s defined as an assault weapon.  And he says just because something doesn’t solve every problem doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try it.
